The National Geographic Channel just previewed one of it's next subjects on the show that's on right now.

The famous picture of the girl with the green eyes.

I'm not going to elaborate so that I can post this in time for you to tune it.

O.K. Now more details. The show is called "Amazing Moments". I've been watching it for about 45 minutes now, and they just previewed upcoming features in this episode. They are going to discuss the details of the cover picture that we have all seen of the girl with the amazingly green eyes. They show what seems to be a search for her today and a conversation with the photographer (Steve McCurry) that took the picture.

I hope that for those who are interested, this thread alerts you quick enough.

that's actually an old show. I saw it a while back on Dish Network. They find that girl is now a 30-something married woman with children. Married women in that country aren't permitted to show their full faces but after much discussion, her husband consents. According to them, she never even know she was famous around the world until they showed her the original picture on the magazine.

ARGH, I don't get that channel.
If you're doing a search for it, my tv shows the listing with the title: Geographic's Most Amazing Moments.

Enjoy!

They also had an article in one of their magazines about how they tried to find her again.

It think it may have been last year or the year before.

Had her old photo versus what she looks like now. Striking eyes still but wow, you can see that she has had a rough life. Was an interesting read, I recommend it greatly if you miss the show.. or heck, even if you do manage to catch it.
