As a full blooded, payed, card holding, whiskey drinking member, why do non-members get to vote on member submissions?
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Members voting on guests submissions?
So this is my suggestion.
Members only vote on members only submissions. Members vote also counts twords guest submissions. But, non-members, guests can not vote on members submissions.
I think this would be an incentive to sway fence sitting guests into members, and would make the voting process exclusive.

Registered users (non-members) cant vote on Member-only challenges. They can vote on all images in an open challenge since it would be difficult and unfair to only be allowed to vote on Member images in an open challenge.
Making it so registered users (non-members) cant vote on any image would reduce the numbers of votes cast, put a lot of strain on members to do 'all the work', mean non-members can participate with the easy part of submitting without obligation to 'give back', plus making comments/voting is part of the learning process.

| We can comment but not vote on the member challenges. We can do both on the open challenges. |

Really have planned on becoming a member. Lemme go check my bank account and see if I can swing it this month. I know that sounds stupid and cheap, but money is kinda' tight around here. :(
Edit: OK, I'm back and I am now a member! You guilted me into it. Thanks for the help on the Update button. Now I just have to figure out how to add photos to the Portfolio thingy and how to use the Store.
