Congrats to Rikki for tking the title, and well done to Sandy for a very high score to completely justify your second place.
And a big thanks to Terry for setting the whole thing up in the first place. |

Awwww. . .Thank you Tinky! We are indeed almost at the finish line :)
And I'm happy too to have played such a fun game for such a good cause. My brother-in-law's sister was this gorgeous, cheerleader, model type and was diagnosed with MS in her late 20's. She married a man with MS and they have a son. But for the past many years, they've both been confined entirely to a wheelchair. It's a devastating disease, and I'm glad to have any small part in raising funds and awareness for MS!

I'm not sure how I'm 2nd on the prediction leaderboard when I only got one right in my Final Four prediction. Everyone else must have really sucked. :P

I think I will be more relieved than sad :) It's just that my philosophy about photography is that for it to touch people and be good, it has to have something of the photographer's passion and expression in it. If I have to enter a challenge that does nothing for me. . .then, it's going to be flat and boring (for me anyway). I did find that in a couple of my MS entries, and It was very hard for me to enter photos I wasnt all that happy with. . .on subjects that didn't inspire me in the least. Sooooooo, I'm going back to my hard and fast motto: shoot what you love and love what you shoot :) No more forced entries for me :)

I think Terry bracketed us into four groups and we were seeded according to that group ;) Yeah, I think my image is great as well (as with most people). However, I did learn to just go with the flow as what inspires me might not inspire others ;) 4 more days and we're done ;) Kinda sad but it's a relief in some way. Then again I'm in the WPL so I still need to keep the photos coming and the shutter clicking for a while ;)

Score ??? ummmmmm. .. .it's okay. I love my photo and think it's one of my best, so naturally, I don't think it's scoring as good as it should be scoring. . .but it is doing okay. But like I say. . .I'm staying grounded because I'm a realist too :)

That's what caused my downfall in the predictions too.. yet I still managed a 5th place showing on the prediction leaderboard :)
Err.. until the latest update, where I dropped to 8th :)

I think I'll have to take a break from doing another tournament just right away after this one tho. I love shooting what inspires me, and I have to admit to a few stressful moments not having anything that I really thought worthy of submitting, but having to anyway.
But I'm glad I saw it all the way through.
Just 5 more days to go :)

These sidebar challenges are great for the site ;) I think it really brought everyone out of their comfort zone to try new things. What's even harder is the fact that it's Basic Editing!

I'm really glad I did this because it forced me to be creative when I didn't feel like it, and to get out there and shoot when the challenge was out of my comfort zone.
And I'm happy to finish 1st or 2nd. Course, 1st would be better than 2nd, but. . .ummmmm. . . seeing all those ribbons in Rikki's profile keeps me grounded on how nice 2nd place still is :) I'm really proud of my photo in the final round, tho, so win or lose, the finish will be sweet :)
