Well, I dropped the $ and picked up a brand new D100 with a Nikkor 24-85 f/2.8 lens on Saturday. I chose the D100 over the 10D because, to me, the layout of the controls was most like my Fuji 602 than the 10D or the S2. I haven't taken a whole lot of pictures with it yet, but the ones I have can be found at: D100 Test Shots

So voting public be kind to me while I learn this beast :-D

Whoa - this means we've left bod, mariomel and sher to fight out the 602 corner ... starting to feel deserted guys?

A lot less competition in 5400 world though :-)

Ed

And marbo, and casualguy, and everyone else who's taken cool shots with the 602 ...

Welcome to the club! I love my D100 I have had no problems. Fuji If I recall is based on the Nikon format so it makes sense that it felt right. Good luck with your new toy!
Richard

I would like to add...you have done such a good job thus far I can not wait to see what comes up next.

Congrats Crab! Wish you would've joined team 10D, but you can't win them all. Have fun :)

Hey Jacques, Stop trying to corrupt this new Nikon buyer. Just because you were seduced by the dark side and turned towards the evil photocopier company, does not mean that you should now prothletize for your new master. Back, I say, back [holding up a cross - of course in the classic Nikon colours of black with a strong yellow background]. Michael

hey, does the d100 have the stereotypical nikon f-mount? if so, is it possible to use old-school manual focus nikkor ais lenses?

i might save up and grab one someday if so.

congratulations, crab! i'm so happy for you and i know you're on the road to more wonderful photos! you have such amazing talent, you could shoot blue ribbon photos with your eyes closed.

Team 602 will greatly miss our star photographer!
