I live in New York City. Haven't been out much. (Too much work). Am planning a weekend getaway.
Can you suggest any good areas with hiking? Nature trails and stuff? With good photographic opportunities? Looking at possibly an hour or two drive from the city. Need to de-stress and stuff.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated.

Finger lakes area was wonderful. I think it's a 4 hour drive though.

Long Island comes to mind. And lots of nice country right up the Hudson River Valley.

My parents took me to Buskkill falls in PA last time I was out in the area to visit them. It costs a few dollars to get into the park, but there are a lot of nice trails and some cool waterfalls that make a good spot to take pictures. I would guess that the drive would be a little more than 2 hours from NYC, but I'm not exactly sure. We went there from my parents place in Morris County, NJ.

Here's one of my better shots from that day. I'd only had the camera for a few weeks so I don't think it's my best work, but it's better than anything on the park's website.
