Hi all, could someone please tell me how to get exposures for longer than 30 seconds with the Canon 350D. Being a bit of noob here but just cant seem to find how to get it longer :/

set your camera to manual and you can do it as long as you want

When you are on Manual set the shutter speed to bulb. Then you need two clicks for the exposure. First one opens the shutter second click closes.

You might want a cable release to avoid shake.

Also, I think that on bulb, you will find that it is necessary to hold the shutter release down to keep the shutter open. A cable release is definitely very useful to avoid shake.

Nope. Use bulb and the RC-5 remote release (under $10). First press opens shutter, wait as long as you like, second press closes it.
