I heard that the Detriot Zoo might be closing due to lack of funding. Anybody know more about this? I have been there twice great place and the people are wonderful there too. It would be a great loss if this was to happen.

well Di - if they dont close to May we should still be able to go on April 29th....maybe the last day. How sad.

| Whew... the Detroit City Council voted yesterday 6 - 3 to keep the zoo open. They will keep it, but let the Zoological Society to take control. |

Cheers to that. I would love to maybe get a membership there to even help out some little bit that I can.
