Best advice yet, Di! If you are just here for the ribbons, don't hold your breath, there are a lot of really exceptional photographers, I mean a LOT of them, so accept the 5.XXX as a compliment and get on with it!

Most important is to look at live as a playground and love taking photo matter where your picture end in the challenge of course it is extra fun to get ribbon .. ice

What they said. Also, if you find that the top 10 don't reflect your top scores, there's a good chance your taste differs from the hypothetical DPC monolith. It follows that your own tasteful photos may not appeal to the masses. De gustibus, baby.

This is too funny... so sour but also true; we love brooding, icelandic things and portraits of exotic places and people.
