how about a special effects challenge? I mean like stuff that you can only see in a photo, like strobe pics and double exposures and high speed photography ect. that kind of thing. I think that would be awesome. but only real in-camera stuff. not photoshop effects. what do you guys think?

I've already entered 3 shots with "special effects" - this would be a Mav-challenge like Nude was a Dr. JOnes challenge. ;)

| I think its a great idea, but what about people who's cameras can't do any of that stuff. Multiple exposures, controlled shutterspeeds, etc? Perhaps it would be fair to allow layering in photoshop with the same size image to compensate for that, but still no spot editing and adjustments had to be added after the two were combined from the orignals. |

| Yeah, that's what I thought. It doesn't have a normal multiple exposure mode to just expose 2 or more photos on the same photo. Given, this is pretty much useless given photoshop but it makes me angry since i could do it right out of the camera with old film cameras. What would the people with just point and shoot cameras do for a special effects challenge, besides not submit. If it's not just about using in camera effects then basically your asking for another Illusions challenge. |

I wish there was an //www.oldcamphotographychallenge.com but there isn't. It's digital, it's got the rules we've been dealt. We CAN open it up, but then we're just asking for different types of photos. The one thing that killed me about Black Magic (triptych challenge) was that all three shots are 99.9999% DPC legal and nobody knew or cared since it was open editing. I guess I just want a challenge to show off what we can do in cam. If it's open editing, I'm STILL all for it.
