Meeting Location:

Entrace of the zoo on Fifth Ave. @ 64th Street. Just look for the people with the cameras! :)

Locations: Central Park/Central Park Zoo, Top of the Rock
Date: April 2nd, 2005
Meeting Time: 2:00 P.M.
Meeting Spot: Park Ave. Entrance of Central Park (64th)
Total Cost (General Admissions): $20.00

Some thoughts of mine:
I'm pretty sure the zoo closes at 4:30, so we might want to start there at 2-3?

If we're planning on getting to the Top of the Rock at sundown, we should plan on getting a bite somewhere.

In this case I would think we do: zoo --> park --> eat --> rock

Please let me know what you think as I'm not the best at organizing!

Haha yes, thanks for the info.

With that we should try to shoot for a time around 6-630?

Which works in well with dinner... hrmm... we're getting somewhere...

Don't give up. Maybe you want to make thread for you own GTG and see if people will join. Pick a different agenda than in this tread and see what happens.

You can remove me - we've become flooded as it were with weddings and once March 18th hits, we don't get a break too often - definitely not a cold NYC break. :( Let's play a June 3rd or June 17th weekend or something! :) We only have a couple weekends left from now until October 21.

is the location definite? Can't we find a place to shoot that doesn;t cost money? I'm on a stupid tight budget!

no it's not definite.

as far as money is concerned, there are places that are free to wander, such as the park... but we'll need to make a group decision on this.

i'm sure that each of us could chip in a dollar to pay for the $20 if you need it. If you have any financial issues, you can PM me and we can work it out privately.

Thanks for the quick post. Money is always an issue, that's hy I work WAY more than I shoot pix but I'm not looking for anyone to pay my way. I really appreciate the offer tho.

I wan just thinking if we can avoid it & most folks were down, maybe we could shoot something that doesn;t require a ticket or fee. The Iron or the BK Bridge or something.
Just an idea.
Also, it's cool with me if folks decide to go to the zoo or something that requires droppin a few bucks. I'm not looking for anyone to feel bad for me (not that I think anyone is) but was just wondering what was confirmed & what was up for some thinking.
peace

I'm in the process of harassing my nephew. I'm going to drag him out of Brooklyn by the ears if I have to! He'll enjoy it, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, I'm planning to drive down Route 17 on either Friday or Saturday before the GTG and return on Monday the 3rd. If anyone is along the route and wants to ride along I'd be happy to have you join me. (Accomodations may be available, as well...) PM me with e-mail address to start the conversation.

(I am sooooo looking forward to this!)
