Moon
Took that one 4 or 5 years ago with the D450z through a Meade ETX 90 telescope.

It`s not the best time to shot the moon when it`s about full.
Around quarter moon i find better as it has more contrast.
My best moon shot so far is this one.

ok, there is no way I can get that close with my little P&S. I would have to be standing on the moon to get that :) Anyway here is my free study entry, the only good shot I have of the moon, taken last month on the full moon.

Don't normally do moon shots but here is one taken about sunset handheld using my Nikon 70-200. Had the ISO set to 800 because I was shooting Snowgeese taking flight in the evening. BTW - this is a 100% 640 crop becasue as you might expect at 200mm the moon was quite small in the frame.

Pretty much the only reason I do moon shots is to have a moon to add to other shots. The moon is very easy to shoot, as the formula is very straightforward for proper exposure.

Does anyone know when the next full moon is?

Thanks in advance.

Like someone else said, I can't get detail like that with my little camera, but here are some of my moon shots...

Here's mine. Taken today in Sweden, where we finally got rid of some of the cloud cover we've had for months.

Moon.jpg
Heres the moon at around 4pm in Finland.
No fancy portfolio here and it was _hard_ to focus on bright sunlight and without tripod. Thus the small image.

From a few years ago actually. This was taken in the morning as I was walking out of the house to go to work.
