OK...here's a recomendation...

What if the site selects one or two people who are willing to act as 'lawyers' and the site council can act as the jury when a DQ comes into question... One 'lawyer' will defened the questionable entry, and the other 'lawyer' will oppose the questionable entry...

Obviously this will make the process longer, but I think every DQ deserves a fighting chance.

I'm willing to be either on the defense -- I'll fight my heart out for every DQ...we just need a private little forum for it where just the lawyers and the site council can access.

What do you all think?

--

EDIT: (added further down also)

I think people should jump all over this...here's a chance to have yourself represented by someone, on the inside, before a DQ happens, directly with the site council on fighting for your photos to not be DQ'd...

If you don't support this idea, then I don't want to hear a single complaint ever about how you think an image shouldn't have been DQ'd ever on any board...here's your chance...ask and you will receive!

EDIT 2:

stupid idea...it's like using a band-aid when you really need a tourniquet

I think the process is going to be protected by the SC. I do agree that they need to move on getting something done though. This whole thing looks really bad.

Question that comes to my mind, is the system broke now?

The rules are pretty well cut, usually leaving the subjective natures aside.

But, if it ain't broke, why fix it!

Because it is broke!

If you had an entry DQ'd for something that was allowed to an even higher extent in the past, you'd think it was broken too. Something needs to be done. I see this as a possible solution.

I don't support the idea. To be honest It will probably only cause more problems. I could be wrong.

What would help more then anything is a better clarification of the rules and beyond that, perhaps instead of a defense and prosecution, why not a mediator?

Yeah, I got the black one. The silver one just looked so unprofessional.

I guess I agree...stupid idea. It's like using a band-aid when you really need a tourniquet.
