Alright I need a little help. I need to reproduce a small part of the picture and make a mirror image of it. So I lasso the object, duplicate the object, but I can't find out how to switch it around I can only flip it 180 deg. and that won't work. For example I have a face with the left ear and no right, I duplicate the left, but how do I make it become a right?

Not rotate ... look under Edit > Transform > Flip Horizontal

I think that while you have it selected, use the 'move' tool..by sliding it over it will flip. i.e. grab the lower right corner and pull to the left, it will flip. Or at least I can do that in Elements.

General beat me to it.

Make selection, copy selection, paste selection, load the mask for that layer, edit/transform/flip horizontal.

Then use edit/transform as needed to rotate it and resize it, stretch it, whatever, to make it look natural.

you can do this, but it's hard to measure 100%, so you may have a slightly fatter or thinner whatever when all's said and done...

yes...but depending on the placement of that '2nd ear' it may need to be adjusted anyways.

Yeah... what GE says... Photoshop is not very intuitive this way but it gives you more flexibility. Free transform treats the selection like a a vector graphic. I'd recomend you create a new layer and put the selected graphic on that before you flip and move it around much. That makes it a lot easier to re-select again later on with Free Transform and move around more after you discover you screwed up. LOL!
