I submitted another picture in the Blue II challenge, but these were the other options I could have chosen from. How can I improve these shots. In all the shots, I used black light.

These 2 shots were painted on my back.

If you have to give me really harsh critiques, please do so. I love them.

bump. I hope it's not a bad move...

I like the first two a lot. Very painterly. The second one is great, but I think it would look even better if you extend the canvas and then crop it square.

The third one is too blurry for me; the effect is already soft and painterly--the blur doesn't help here at all.

Edit to add question: What was the photo in #2 of? Can you describe your technique? It's interesting!

I really like the first one. Very cool shot - all of them are. Definitely 1 is my fave, then 2, then 3. It's the composition in the first one that really sells me. Great use of space.

Picture 2 was just a painting of a river on my back. Very abstract. But what we tried to get on my back was a river flowing down a meadow or rocks. We because, obviously I can't paint on my back, but I draw a picture for my friend to do. So bascially stand nude in the toilet alone with a tripod and get my friend to hold the black light. That's what you get?

It has great watercolor-like texture, I don't know if it is from being on skin or the black light. But you might try some other "canvases", that might be easier for you to work with. Or maybe your legs or feet. That should be easy for you to shoot without help. ;)

Oh the texture. That's from the brush strokes and using acrylic paint globs, then spraying it with the a different coloured paint on tooth brush in in water. Thank you very much for the suggestions.
