I'm definitely blue. This will be my first challenge on DPC, hoping for the best.

Haha thanks, not so sure about that, but I'm definitly already picking up a few things here and there from you guys/girls. Any comments and suggestions would be very welcome.

I was in a blue mood today, but it was with an old shot never processed. Other than the gradient, it would have been basic-legal. Good luck with all your new-blues.

Hmmm..... Maybe I should go for romance after all. :D

I've been working on my Blue entry for days. My "props" are getting REALLY tired of helping. I could make a nice dinner for them and just take a snapshot of that for Romance... Mebbe I could call it, "Romance after a sickening amount of Blue".
:)

Hardly a blue by adding blue by curve :)

Using curves doesn't add the blue... Ice :)

... and neither does color balance ;)

As this is only my second challenge and I am still learning I figured I would check out what this thread was saying. Then I saw the names of those who seem to be so darn good at all of this stuff.

So rather than feel Blue I have decided to sit back and learn. This should be fun!

Nah, learn by doing. Way more fun that way! I'm in the decidedly mediocre gang (more accurately the "lousy by DPC standards but my friends and family are impressed" gang) and I find that if I go out (or stay in) and try to take a "challenge" picture, I actually do learn a thing or two.

Chuckle - that is what I meant. The Challenges have forced me to be proactive and get out there to take more shots - with a purpose in mind. As to my status it is more "forget the bloody technology bit and frame some good pictures" gang.

Amen to that obsidian. I suck here but elswhere am doing quite well lol. Hubby's friend is coming over on sunday to help me put together a portfolio.

I figure I'll probably never score well here lol, I don't do macro- I attempted and failed- see shapes challenge, and I don't do well with wildlife. But in the scenery and emotive relm of things my friends, even strangers, are really liking my stuff lately. So that's comforting lol.

So, is it alright if I pay visual homage to the chick Captain Kirk had in Star Trek? Oh, come on, you all remember the blue chick :-)

Before you ask... my entry is nowhere remotely close to that :-P

Edit: but I do fear it is a bit closer to cyan than blue ... LOL ... a round of DNMC for me.

Can we get a side-by-side comparison of Blue and Cyan? I fear mine may be on the Cyan end now that I think about it...
