i think things run smoother when i keep my mouth shut.
I do my most talking at work, cuz i need to tell people what their assignments are there, other than that i usualy keep my mouth closed and think anything I want to myself =)

I know you guys are watching. I just want to know...are you as understated in real life as you are on this forum? Wish I could do that. I have to hold back, because I want to say something about almost everything I read.

It's time for all of you wallflowers to speak up. Let's hear what you have to say!

Well, it's pretty hard to speak up when your face is stuffed full of popcorn...

Thread killing-
It is a stat, yes it means yours was the last post in that thread. There are various thoughts and opinions on this phenomenon. There are those that wear the 'Thread Killer' title as a badge of honor, some view it as an attestment to their lack of 'popularity' or 'dorkiness' :-P. Some view it as a 'trophy' like a moosehead on your wall or a mounted mahi-mahi, and either appreciate your hunting prowess and skill, or see it as cruel and in-humane. There are those that view it as an almost but not quite entirely useless number merely taking up space on your profile. There are even ancient and mystic beliefs that the number of threads killed in this life are worth some kind of 'points' that have a bearing on your status in your internet afterlife.

Something to be coveted and sought after, or a thing to be held in utter contempt and disgust, or somewhere in the middle, that decision, my friend, is a thing that one needs to search deep within themselves and find where there heart and soul lies on the matter.

...or maybe not, don't listen to me, I'm just a maroon!!!

OH my... that was one of the most deep and meaningful contributions I have read in a LONG time :-)

I see a budding business opportunity for an entrepreneur here; pre-packaged, witty comments to copy 'n paste when things are moving too fast to think :-)

Funny thing that Bear, a certain SC member *looks distintively in clubjugglers direction* likes to remind me there are no stupid questions only stupid people

*raises one eyebrow*

Look at the SOURCE; the man's a JUGGLER, who you gonna believe? Him or my dad? C'mon, now...

I dont talk alot. I dont compete alot. Im a full time student and work part time with the rest of my time. I spend my photo time trying to better myself as an artist and I dont really feel DPChallenge helps me with that. Every time Im try to compete my work just comes out horrible. I have good work. Just not on here. But Ill tell you. DPChallenge is a great place if I have any questions, concerns, or anything, and I appreciate all of you being there for people like me when we dont know where else to go. Thanks.

I only tend to post if I think I have something to add... Although I do enjoy reading the discussions on here and I have learned a lot too.

I'm more of a reader too, but if I started posting, it would be difficult to stop : - ) , and then I'd probably have no work. No work means no new photog equip.... Wouldn't that ne a tragedy... !

I'm really quiet. Almost always. Through all of middle school and high school I got the really annoying "You know what? You're really quiet." constantly. In response I would say, "I know." I worked at a bookstore (even though I rarely read any), and most of the other employees thought I was strange. I'm pretty sure some of them were actually afraid of me (one of the managers, too). Fine with me, I didn't want to talk to them anyway.

Thank you. I've always liked that quote but could never remember who said it or exactly how it went. Now I know -- too late to avoid removing doubt about my own knowledge, but whatcha gonna do?

Hi.

I shall go back to my mostly silent ways now.

I bang my head on the keyboard and groan, cheer occasionally, and I read mostly everything here. I'm more shy online than IRL these days. After a solid six years moderating a huge online forum/livejournal/blogging and other online ventures I find I earn more karma points by shutting up and listening to what people have to say and learning from that. That and I am probably burnt from so much time online for so long. :)

I'll speak up for GIMP help, doula/birthing questions and animal track identification - but thats about it these days unless I am chatting...
