Not really.....I just can't figure out for the life of me why people who don't like him don't just let it go instead of pissing and moaning about it.

Ken is a genius and you are all fools. You spend all your time tweaking the minutiae of bokeh and sit up all night exchanging your non-views on pointless technical detail. Rockwell can be smug but he can also take pictures. He knows what he's talking about even if he talks a lot of Nikon. I love him for helping me to use a camera. He cares about this stuff. What's your excuse?

A lot of what he speaks is garbage, imo, but I like his page for the solid technical data that he compiles, mostly on lenses.

he speaks horseshit almost all of the time. But i do like how his lens reviews are 'real world' reviews and not based on charts. Other than that though, I find him a bit nepotistic towards Nikon, except when he talks about the 5d... but then he goes on to say that only amateurs shoot digital, yet he spends all his money on them.

That seems a little mean, he is just very opinionated and things he is right all the time, exactly like me. He could be my brother, I wonder..... there is that forth person cut from all the family photographs, I've always wondered who it is...

Err anyway, I think his budget advice seems pretty good, his lens advice is great, and some of his other information is valuable too.

PLEASE regale us with how much you know about us and give us examples of some of our typical attitudes and mannerisms with your vast experience here.

Perhaps your portfolio and challenge entries will support your stance of how well you use a camera.

Ken is a talented guy who knows how to articulate sophisticated stuff for the average person who, for the most part, is likely a newbee!...He has taught me alot - I consider him to be a great resource!!!

We are fortunate to have him on the web...sharing his knowledge. He enjoys quality equipment...nikon and cannon happens to be his favorite manufacturers. So What. Don't we all have our favorites?
