i finally broke down and bought a nikon BR-2A reversing ring for my 50mm lens. it makes for some fun manual macro action.

here are my first attempts. not super-great, but there's lots to play with:

They're cool.
Question:
If I've got a sigma 105 macro and a canon 50 1.8 and want to play around with reversing, have you got suggestions as to what I should be looking for to hook them up?

I'd also recommend getting the BR3 as a complement to the BR-2A. It would allow you to add filters and or a lens cap, but most importantly protect that vulnerable rear element.

Also IMPORTANT FYI, if anyone decides to give lens reversal on a Nikon a try be sure to get the BR-2A and not the older BR-2. I bought one of the first N90s to hit my town when it was released, and immediately started shooting some macros. Well the BR-2 severely damaged the AF contacts in the body costing a couple hundred dollars to replace. The BR-2A was a redesign to avoid the contact and will not cause damage.

The USB image is my fav, but I might be baised as a long time mac/apple user.

i have a step up ring attached to a reversing ring in order to attach my 50mm 1.8 to my 105mm sigma.
