With the hot-shoe on the Rebel XT, is it compatible with old flash guns that use a single pin? Or do you have to use a TTL-II compatible flash?

Anybody?

I would say no. I bought a flash for my film rebel that is a ProMaster FTD 7000M about a year ago and it is not compatible. I found a few websites that said certain flashes could work on the fully manual setting, but I am unable to get mine to work at all. I think the best bet is to get a flash strictly digital compatible.
