Well, one must have been dropped, but it still says I have rated 241 out of 241 entries now. HUH?

Ursula? Whats up with that?

If you're referring to the 'Burst of Color' challenge, you're posting in the wrong thread :o) FYI, the numbers changed because an image was DQ'd.

Yeah, the "Burst of Color" challenge now has 241 images left in it.

"Backlighting" still has the same number at which it started.

Yes, this challenge, the role of The Wedgie will be played by Achoo. Riding up ever higher to catch Cindi in an uncomfortable position...

looking pretty good Doc! :)

Not too shabby myself :) But it's too early as I always say. I'll wait until the 150th vote then I know my vote will stabilize.

Don't feel bad, I'm working my way up to 4 with a 3.9 right now. I also have only 1 comment. A pretty useless one to so I can feel your pain.

hmmmm

every challenge I submit to, my photos get lower and lower scores....not good, I am taking heed to the comments and suggestions, but it seems the harder I try, the worse my scores get...

and as for the comments, some of you are downright RUDE.....You know, not everyone is a professional here and it is quite disheartening for people to sit there and judge my pictures and say things insinuating that I took them in the worst possible scenarios or hasty settings.....

It's MUCH better not to look at it this way. Be glad that people take the time to say what they think. There's nothing personal about it; they have no idea who you are. Some may lack the "finesse" skills others of us take for granted, but in the end all that matters is that they took the time to express their reactions, and that's what you really need to appreciate.

I give up. Most of the submissions are so far off of the challenge topic I just can't continue voting. Some of these pictures are GREAT but part of this process is interpreting the challenge.

I totally agree, !
What can be done about this problem ?
And now I also see winner and picture is far off of the challenge topic

Found the update button. Not at all pleased that it's there. For those of you sweatin' your 6+ scores, understand that some of us are desperately hoping not to fall below the 4.5 level. Ah well, as others have said, at least I like it. :-)

Perhaps a question for another thread, but since I'm here - is it "worth it" for those of us routinely in the sub-5's to comment on others' work? After all, if I can't seem to figure out what to do, should I be telling anyone else what I think needs to be done to make their picture better?
