21, amateur, but trying to get some of my work out with my website
(though I'm still slowly advancing the site)

[quote=SharQ]The answer of this question is best answered by Drew or Langdon, by the way, and would look a little something like this:

$result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM dpc_users WHERE EXISTS age");

Hehe. Nice Code SharQ. But why not merely (SELECT age FROM dpc_users) and leave the poor, underpaid, overworked DPC server with less stress. :P Let's hope the DPC DBA NOT NULLED the column. haha

You're one of the few people i know that uses a while loop to manipulate the query results! My co-workers and I all use For.

Something more like:

SELECT avg(age) FROM dpc_users

I would suspect though, that 'age' isn't stored as such, rather birthdate, so you would need to calculate age in years from that, and average those. Still, not that difficult, though.

30, amateur, but just been accepted on a full time photography course for two years, currently having a "dreams versus reality" war, so not sure where will be in the future....

23, studying to be a graphic designer w/ photography on the side
07/12/2003 11:18:11 PM · #74
I'M 37 and photography was my first aim in college study but my father (a lawyer) discouraged me by saying it would be too heavy for me to carry all the accessories. So I went and studied graphism and other graphic design studies. I did photography but as free studies. Finally I did Law and carry all those HUGE Supreme Court jurispudrence law book... So photography never left my mind and is coming back! Of course I can't let go and free myself just for photography but I intend to get better and I least DO a lot of it ! I do some for some clients yet which is not bad for... a lawyer!! ha ha! So if you read this, I mean : pursue your dreams not what seems logical or what is someone else's dream...!
