Ok, call me Mr Thicky but how can I look at the ISO setting of an image taken with me new (big smile) d50?
When I look at the properties I can see the EXIF info but ISO isn't in the list?
Any ideas...

I forgot to say once it's downloaded onto my PC that is!
Thanks.

is 'sensitivity' or something along those lines. If not, post an example exif for us to see.

Some aplications that run alone or with Photoshop can also tell you the iso value. For example Nise Ninja and RawShooters.

If I need to download an EXIF reader then that's what I'll do. I am a little supprised that it's not in the image advanced properties with the focal length, shutter speed etc.

Hi Ian:

When I got my Nikon D70s, I wondered how I could read the ISO when the photo was downloaded from the camera... from what I have learned, Nikon engineers have placed the ISO info in a submenu of the EXIF file, and the ISO can be read by Nikon software. I found this out in a discussion at Nikonians. (www.nikonians.org) However... the ISO can also be read by Neat Image, I'm pleased to discover. Try that for a download...

Good luck with your new camera... I'm looking forward to seeing some of your photos!

yeah, if you use the free Nikon View that came with your camera you can see it. or if you pay for Nikon Capture, it's in there too.

it frustrates me that it doesn't show up in many other applications. i can't even see it in my little freebie EXIF reader. :(

Am getting to grips with the camera (or having fun playing if truth be told). Am very happy with it though, images and challenge entries coming soon...

I can't check mine either, although I've never needed to...I just remember where it was at.

Actually, now that I think about it, the stand-alone version of neat image (registered copy) shows the ISO both when you look at the thumbnails, as well as once you open up the photo in the top right corner. Good luck.
