I read a book recently and they were talking about sandwiching photos. Like multiple exposures but not done in camera. They said that you should overexpose both photos by one stop and then combine in photoshop. They didn't go on to say exactly how to do this in photoshop though. I'm assuming layers. But what makes both photos show without looking bled out from the opacity being set lower? Am I even on the right track with the opacity idea?

i think my brother (who is an artist) talked about doing this one time but i didnt really understand it. sorry im not much help

| Pardon my ignorance, but I would think it would give a better dynamic range, so we can use the non-blownout highlights and combine with the shadow details to create a photo that appears to have a wide DR? |

Try these for combining more than one image in different ways...
And check out André Gallant's website for what he calls dreamscapes.

These are mostly using the first technique described. 'Shall We Dance' is a mirror montage.
