I was just thinking about what resolution I was going to make, attempt, and give up on this New Years and thought I would think aloud.

I'm starting out with giving up Dr. Peppers, but I think that will be shot within the first hour as I usually drink about 5 a day, so I'm making a back-up.

Along with my resolution to successfully get out of the Biomedical Science program, take off school for a semester to work and make enough money to get a good run in Europe during the summer, apply and go to a great Art school while still surviving my parents, I want to have another, not-part-of-my-life-plans resolution. I heard it on here from someone that they have a goal to take atleast one picture a day, so I think I might give that a go. I also think I'm resolving to finally write a book. Long, short, read by others, or just kept to myself- doesn't matter. I'm just going to stop writing millions of little pieces to millions of different things and try to make one giant thing. Or atleast I'm going to try. Or atleast I'm going to say I'm going to try.

So there's mine, any one else?

you better bottle your sanity now Shaby, because PAD drive you bonkers!

Oh i have decided that i will achieve something that i myself consider to be sucessful by the time i am 25 (which gives me a year and nine months, so plenty of time to procrastinate). I have plans but i cant pinpoint which one i will attempt until things out of my hands (like greencards) are sorted out.

I also resolve to kick rikki less...or more, i havent decided which as yet.

My New Year res:

Learn the science of apertures and shutters. Try manual and RAW more often. Carry camera eveywhere and practice, practice, practice. Learn to use the filters. Beat my own scores. Save up for a dSLR, and maybe sell a couple of prints to help me do so.
:)

Mine, and I have several, in no specific order, are:

Finish my Masters degree. All I have to do is my F'ing thesis, I just need a good topic and about a million hours to get it done.

Figure out why the hell I hate my job and can't see how it would be any better anywhere else and generally chafe under the autocratic rule of management. I mean, I save them millions of dollars they would otherwise throw away and all I get is a $50 giftcard to a place where I hate the food and an "Atta Boy!" WTF?

Put my camera to work. Go through my library and see what is marketable as stock and just do it. Start a photography microbusiness on the side. Get some strobes and set up a studio in the garage. I want to setup some location shoots too. Just for stock.

Not to make any resolutions as I am likely not to keep it in any event. ;-)

Seriously, how can you people drink that many sodas a day and still sleep. I may drink one with lunch and if I drink any later it takes me about 2 hours to fall asleep. Never after 1 p.m. (unless its mixed drinks at the bar, the downer of the alcohol and the upper of the soda even themselves out.. ha). I'm reading this and it seems like I'd be older.

My new years resolution is to save up to get a new digital camera. I need to upgrade. Also to visit some people that are important to me more often.

How about 2 pots of coffee a day, & drink the last cup before I hit the sack.
And no, not decaf either.
Just a matter of what you get used to.

Resolutions? I have a few, none to disclose though. Change is in the wind...

I did that for a year or two.... 18 - 24 cups of coffee a day. Brother its a road to nowhere. I gave it away when I started blacking out at 2:00 am while trying to work. Not to say that I live pure now ;)

You'd be more than welcome to join us over here.

My resolution, aside from the PAD, is to drink less and excersise more to loose some of the weight I put on when I stopped smoking.

my new years resolution???

8.1 Megapixels baby!!!

I've had my 350d for a few days now and am starting to get the hang of it, 2006 is my year to knock my photography up a notch.

Mine are the normal stop smoking and start exercising again. I hate winters because I love swimming for exercise and haven't found a winter exercise I stick to. I quit smoking for 7 months a year and a half ago and like a dumb a$$ I started back.(my husband and I both did this) We am going to make this top priorty. We also drink more thru the holidays so need to cut way back on this after this weekend. lol

I want to get off my fat arse and quit spending so much time behind this damned computer. I want to try to remember what it was like to wear a single-digit size again (not that I would complain with a 10 or 12, but while we're dreaming, right?). ;)

I lost 80 pounds going to Curves after my oldest son was born... it works. I think I'll do that again. I just have to pry myself up outta this chair first.
