I can't wait either. I'm sick of people telling us what we can and cannot listen to. Censorship is running wild, even on this site.

I think he's going to do quite a business for Sirius. I just saw a Best Buy add for Sirius on Yahoo using Stern as a draw.

Kind of sucks that the religious zealots were allowed to do this. There is enough room on the airwaves for all of us to have what we want without having to pay.

Guess I'll be the odd one out here, as I can't stand listening to him, entertainment or not.

I used to love listening to him daily when he was just starting out in Wash, DC. Met him at parties a couple of times. He was cool then because he was doing his own thing, and it was new. Now he just does whatever his advisors tell him will increase ratings and revenue. He has lost his originality and creativity. I think of him as a complete sell out.

I tried listening a few times, because I have some friends that love him. I never cracked a smile. And for some reason, I just don't understand the appeal of naked women on the radio.

For $500,000,000.00 most people would. All the things he has done over the years from the time he was playing class clown in highschool were desinged to get attention. The more the better and any means to do it. Now he gets plenty and gets paid well to do it. I don't really care to listen to him or any other "talk" show host, but I defend his right to be on our air ways.

No one tries to hinder these bastard right wing merchants of hate who litter the air ways. Howard is just having fun. Why step on him?

We are having a little party at work monday, we have a guy who listens daily to Howard, loud enough that we have to hear him too. Gonna be nice to go to work and not have to listen to him. He gets on my nerves bad. Glad he is gone personally.

But he doesn't get 500 million. His production company does which pays the salaries of all the staff. He gets at good salary I would assume. But everyone who gets paid a salary on his two stations for the next five years gets paid out of that money. The idea is that along the way he will also be generating income not only for Sirius but for his company as well and that is where he himself will make the most money. A much smarter deal while also being the largest gamble.

There goes the last DJ
Who plays what he wants to play
Who says what he wants to say
There goes your freedom of choice.

There's talk that the FCC wants to regulate satellite as well. He may find himself in a similar position again in the future but if that happens he'll probably just hang it up.

wow nsbca7 thats pretty extreme left... why arent you rioting the streets? i really think that that is what this country needs. everyone should rise against the current government.. but especially those further to the left who only talk poo and do nothing.. if this were the 60's we would be in some deep stuff...
