Well, I have been waiting patiently for a critique on at least one of my challenge entries and haven't received any. I noticed a CC entry on a Letter B submission and I haven't even gotten one for my Off Center yet.

I know I ticked the box each time I submitted a photo. Is there any way someone can check to see if my request ever showed up? The only thing I can think of is that i use IE on a Mac and possibly the tick box isn't registering when I submit.

You can stop holding your breath on the past challenges. Off Center has been cleared from the queue. Good luck on the Letter B. Not everyone who checks the box gets a critique because the Critique Club is entirely volunteer. If you don't get a critique after several challenges, you can ask in the forums for a special consideration. Club members are most obliging. It wouldn't surprise me if you get one today. Better yet, join! That will help with the list of requests.

Well, I thought that might be the case, but I was hoping that 1 entry out of 5 challenges would have received a Critique.

If anyone reading this can add me as a member, please do, as this seems to be the way to go to receive a critique each week.

Thanks for your help :)

I would also be grateful if anyone could critique my Self Portrait and Country Life entries.

I've been in CC for a long time, and still critique, though at a lower volume than I did at the start.

I'd be really pleased if another member (or two) would be able to offer critiques. If anyone has time for only one, I'd prefer one on the Country Life entry.

I did get lots of comments on the SP entry, many of which explored the message I was trying to convey, the bravery of the entry or the physical attributes of the model (me) - but I'd love some comments on composition, lighting, cropping etc too.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much...

I really appreciate the comments and have replied to them on the images themselves.

Thanks again, it always helps to read the comments from someone looking at commenting on multiple aspects of the picture, even where some of the points have been made before in isolation.

Goshhhhh Kavey you've been around longer than me and are active in the forums, I just never realized you weren't a member till I read your reply on the self portrait now all I can say in my defense is DUUUHHHHH, I should have looked at your profile closer.

Now a question for you have you ever used your self timer on your camera? I need a little help with setting it!

Yes we have but Pete helped me switch it on so I cant remember. It's about 10 seconds long.

I'll ask him to respond when he gets a moment... he's apparently on a raid at the moment (he's playing EQ)...

It's one of the Drive options. Go through them and you'll see two of them have slightly different little circles as their icon on the viewfinder.

One is the interval thingie - bit hazy on it but it displays "Int" on the LCD on top, you don't want that - and the other is self-timer. This puts a similar circular icon in the bottom left corner of the top LCD.

Then just press the button as usual, the small red light to the top left of the lense as you look from the front starts blinking and you have around 10 seconds.
