i ordered the 300mm f/4 IS and it just came in today. the first thing i noticed when i tried to take pictures with the lens is that compaired to my 70-200 f/2.8 IS, the IS is realy loud. it sounds like mechanisms inside are grinding against eachother... it sounds broken. of course the IS is working fine and the lens takes pretty sharp pitures (i didn't test it out thoroughly yet). does anybody else have this lens and is the IS really THAT much louder than the 70-200 f/2.8 IS?

do u guys think its a good enough reason to send it back to B&H for a new copy? or should i just drive down to Canon in Irvine and have them fix it? i would love your input. thank you very much
