The most popular high quality teleadapter for standard digicams (40some to 50some mm lens threads) is the Olympus B-300. I don't know if it's available anymore, but it's a beautiful hunk of glass conservatively rated at 1.7X.

try www.eagleeyeuk.com. They've just sold out (15th April) but seem to get shipments in fairly regularly (don't know where from)

also //users.orofino-id.com/mcelhatton/ and
//www.achatzi.de and Ebay

not sure if anyone has Oly's left (I believe production has now stopped) 'cos they are pretty popular, but these are places I've seen that last sold them

otherwise, depending on your thread size, try looking Tiffen Megaplus (37mm and 43mm I think) which sells 2x teleconverters which aren't as good quality as the Olympus, but still have decent results. Kenko and Raynox also make lenses, but i've read that they aren't really worth it.

dunno ... check the www.dpreview.com forums. Probably the best site I know for anyone who wants to learn stuff about their camera. That's where I found out about possible lenses for my G1 (still waiting to get mine)

I believe www.belgiumdigital.com has some good discussions too. hmmm... just had a look on their 'E-10 pages' and went to 'E-10 combo' ...

WHOA MAMA!

Gee if only I had money :(

You mean besides Oly? They have a 1.45X and a 3X for the Exx with a 62mm thread. The 1.45 isn't expensive, and has the advantage of the B-300 in that it doesn't vignette and is usable throughout the zoom range. Personally, I'm looking for a nice wide adapter. The Oly is great, but it's so huge. Something like 105mm at the objective end. The aftermarket wides I've read about don't seem too good, though.

i'm confused. you're saying that OLY makes a teleconverter besides the TCON 14B? Isn't that thing pretty big and only useable at the max zoom setting?

From what I read, the Oly TCON14B is ~US$150, and you get the whole zoom range. The TCON3 is the pricy unit, and only works at full tele. Put them together, and you get something like a 640mm f2.8 prime. That would cost ten grand as a single lens. Apparently, you can use the B-300 on the TCON3, as well, for an even longer focal length.
