I tnhink I have a squirrel....problem is it is in my attic. Anyone have any ideas how to get a squirrel to vacate the premises without hurting it?

Live trap (cage type). Your local pest control people may be able to help.

Yeah, as I mention on the pic, I was in a canoe in the middle of this massive bog and saw him swimming by. I thought it was a mink or ermine or something at first. He looked FREAKED. He scratched right up against the side of the canoe and I thought, do I try to pick him up? Well, my two big dogs were jumping around in the canoe so that wasn't an option. He made it to a stick jutting out of the water and just clung to it with his eyes bugging out.

Poor thing. I came by around six hours later and he was gone, so I guess he was okay. Or eaten.

It's not a "good" photo but he's still a little nervous about coming into the house and helping himself. Backlighting from outdoors doesn't help either! We've got sooo many of the lil critters around here and they now come running if they even see one of us at the window. They're such fun :)
