When doing a long exposure on bulb mode (2 minutes, 3 minutes, etc), how do you know how long to keep the shutter open for proper exposure in such low light conditions? I've been wondering this for a while.

There's another thread discussing this very subject. It's either titled 'Night Photography' or ISO. I think it's the former.
