OK, it looks like this thread has outlasted it's original purpose, and is too emotionally-charged for anything new to be added, so I've locked this thread down.

Please remember that the DPC forums are public, which means that anyone on DPC can post to them if they so wish, as long as they're not breaking any site rules. If you wish to have a private discussion, the DPC forums are not the place to hold them, and a public thread cannot be made private.

Actually, Demia pulled the sheets over all our heads.

I thought everyone had us on the ignore list anyways? Why the sudden interest.

I think it's because all the detractors just love that all this craziness came down on the silly people. "Oh, lookee, the site jokers just got a dose of reality. Lets go grind in the pain"

If one person, such as mesmeraj would not like her name raised, she can ask that it not be raised, but until her last post, she did not ask that. She asked instead that everyone NOT talk about the entire subject anymore, which I, and mk, indicated, is contrary to the nature of a public forum.

It's funny to me that ya'll keep saying we should keep our private stuff private, and yet, when we do try to keep it private, and tell others that it's none of their business, we're then told that we're doing something wrong.

Which is it? Should we air it all out? Should we keep it to ourselves?

It is a private matter, and not to be discussed in the forums.

As you said. So stop talking about it, it's done and over. Please, just stop.

I don't get it. Everyone in here decides, in a public forum, to have a happy little commune fest. Then, when something negative happens, suddenly it's supposed to be hush-hush and "how dare you come and talk about it" and what-not? Well, newsflash for the real world, it's too late. You had it happen on a public forum, you'll have to deal with it in that same public forum. You can *ask* people all you want to not talk about it, but the discretion lies with those people, not with SC. You've made your beds, now you have to sleep in them.

well - guess you resent me then as that's they way I took it as mes feeling you're running her off. Since I'm not real popular on this site, or a favorite person here it doesn t matter to me if you're miffed at me now.

As much fun as i have had, and as many great friends as i had made, it has become apparently that i must withdrawn from this thread & the forums. I will sleep on whether i will also withdraw from the site.

This in not because of Demia, or her emotional outbreak that lead to the public expression of a PRIVATE matter. Nor is it because of the PUBLIC conversations we have had on this thread, including the INNOCENT tale of when a locust got in my underpants while they were drying on the line (which you are all WELCOME to read - it occurs about page 10 or 11 of this thread, at 200 posts per page).
I do not feel comfortable remaing when the SC, as represented by Frisca and mk, has shown such utter disregard for the emotions and ramifications for those that have become, inavertantly, involved in the situation. Those involved in both the inner and secondary circles of the events that unfolded yesterday, know that no, it wasnt ALL public. We have requested it be left alone, just as SC makes the same request when something becomes inflammatory.
Trust me, i, and i think i can speak for shannon too, am already sufficiently distraught from the events that have past - we already have been publicly vilified, and had red letters painted upon us. There was no need for anyone to play devils avocate, and state that people can say whatever defamatory things they like, because a small section, most that which was innocent, and of no direct consequence to the conclusions which Demia was drawn too were made on a public forum. Because that IS disrespectful, hurtful and inconsiderate.
I did not ask for this, i did not do anything to instigate this (and you are more than welcome to read the entire thread and see that for yourself) and i will ask you ONCE AGAIN to leave me out of it.

We Don't Serve Beer to Bears in Bars in Billings
A bear walks into a bar in Billings, Montana and sits down. He bangs on the bar with his paw and demands a beer.
The bartender approaches and says, "We don't serve beer to bears in bars in Billings."
The bear, becoming angry, demands again that he be served a beer.
The bartender tells him again, more forcefully, "We don't serve beer to belligerent bears in bars in Billings."
The bear, very angry now, says, "If you don't serve me a beer, I'm going to eat that lady sitting at the end of the bar."
The bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bully bears in bars in Billings."
The bear goes to the end of the bar, and, as promised, eats the woman. He comes back to his seat and again demands a beer.
The bartender states, "Sorry, we don't serve beer to belligerent, bully bears in bars in Billings who are on drugs."
The bear says, "I'm NOT on drugs."
Te bartender says, "You are now. That was a barbitchyouate."

Did you hear about the pirate who was standing in the middle of his treasure pile looking at it and started weeping inconsolably? One of his crew members asked him why, and he replied disconsolately "Because my booty is only shin-deep!"

There's a Catholic parish here on Cape Cod that draws its parishoners from a wide area, and they are predominately elderly. As the years have passed, fewer and fewer of them are able to drive; so the parish bought a bus and hired a driver. Every Sunday they go around and pick up their parisihioners and bus them to the church.

They call it "mass transit"...

The Hunchback of Notre Dame croaks so they need to find a new bell-ringer.

A guy with no arms comes along and says he can do it.
"But you've got no arms... you can't do this job!" says the church leader.
The new applicant shouts back - "Sure I can... I'll do it with my mouth!"

So the church hires him and he starts his bell-ringing duties the next day.
He begins ringing the bell using only his mouth, but the bell is so heavy, it tosses him out the window to the ground and splatters him dead.

He's lying dead on the ground and a big crowd gathers around him.
"Who is that guy?" one person says.

"I don't know says another, but his face sure rings a bell..."

If you don't mind me joining the conversation......
This reminds me of a sketch by two great comics, The Two Ronnies..

A man walks into a hardware shop
"I want four candles"
Assistant returns with four candles
"No I want four candles"
Assistant: "I've given you four candles"
"No, not four candles ......I want four candles.....'andles for forks"!"

The sketch is continues with several more such misunderstandings and is much funnier in sppech than written down, believe me!
