Does MK get a choice of bridges? I would recommend the Sydney Harbor Bridge if he is offering a choice.

I did not go out with the intent to copy someone else’s "successful" shot. It's my daughter in the picture, a special and tender moment that I captured and am so proud of and will cherish for years to come. Who are you to assume my intent and repeatedly accuse me of "copying"? You make me out to be a shallow and greedy person. I happen to love this shot, ribbon or not. The fact that others enjoyed it and voted it so high was icing on the cake for me.

I haven’t picked up a camera creatively in 12 years. Joining this site and having a hobby is the first thing I have done for me in a very long time. I have spent years neglecting myself to take care of others. It's a shame that you want to place a stigma on me without knowing me. It makes me sorry now that my picture was noticed and that I actually felt good about myself for a moment. Thanks for ruining my moment you big jerk :P

Being true to yourself is wonderful. Oh yes, a thick skin never hurt too............ :-)

O.k., I'm over it:) I should have entered a picture of myself for the delicate challenge. No wait, I think that's already been done...

Well Jaxed maybe you should have read the post and my private message to you I sent earlier today, I wasn't talking about you in that last post and I told you that after you misunderstood it. I never mentioned you in my last post; I was talking to Sonifo who bragged about copping others.

So at this point it is clear my words are not even being read just bashed, fine I'm done. No apologies. I'll keep taking my pictures and you keep taking yours and we can both go in whatever direction we choose. As for those who thoughtfully responded to this weather you agree or not I thank you, for the one liners who think they are being funny, keep taking pictures.

Be well all.

Mike

It takes a big man to recognize the error of his ways and proffer an apology to someone he slighted... You really should endeavour to familiarize yourself with this concept mprpro... (no,,,,,,, I did not forget to cap your nic).. I reserve that right for big people.

No apologies here either, and I do hope you will be well also.

Soni could take a photo with her ass and it would be better than my best effort. I think it's only copying if I do well, too.

LOL!!!! Whew....I can't believe I only just found this thread!!!!! **loooking for a picture from slippy with an ass holding a camera**

hmmm..bragged? well, I can say I was being honest! At least I don't whine like a big ole baby about stupid stuff like this. Go out and learn how to take a picture. Leave the ribbone winners alone!

And another thing..you blab about nobody reading your posts..go back and read mine..yeah, I didn't agree with you..so what! so you have to come back and try to hurt me by saying I was bragging when I was just stating the fact and being honest. well, fine! poo on you. lol..that was a good ending..I feel so much better.

Have a wonderful day! :-)) Happy shooting!

Hahaha! Soni, you big baby, you! When you "grow up" (God forbid) you can use more sophisticated stuff like "Well, stuff you and the horse you road in on, pal!" or even the very exhilirating "A plague on both your houses!"

But I like "poo on you" a lot :-)

Robt. (with a wink 'n a smile)

I didn’t receive a pm from you as stated in this thread. Could be my email is acting up again. I understand that it would be upsetting to you if someone went out and purposely copied a photo just to win... That's not the case here. If that's what someone else decides to do then oh well they have a different agenda, to each there own. I guess I was thinned skinned about your repeated comments directed at me (or not) because the original post was personally directed at me. Its great there’s forums to get thing‘s off your chest, I hope the backlash doesn’t stop you from expressing yourself. You all have a great day! I’m going out to take pictures of a water fall. I know, I know, it’s been done before! :-) lol... walk’s away shaking head...

Oh, just got all the pm. Thank you to all who left me such kind word's, it made me smile:-) text

Hey I made a post on Page 6.
11/06/2005 10:47:21 PM · #136
Wow. I just had the chance to read this thread. Yes, I know this is a late entry. Probably the last.....:)

How should we look at art? As self expression or as creating something others can appreciate and enjoy? I would say Jaxed has both of these hands down.

1) Jaxed expressed herself.
2) 50 people (give or take) in this thread loved the photo.
One person,well... who cares about that one person.

There's one in every crowd.
You can't make everyone happy.

And to quote Billy Joel as MPRPRO did:
"Don't take any $hit from anybody!"
Wait a minute! Did Billy "originate" that phrase?....
Anyway, apparently MPRPRO went away with his, since he had no takers.

I\'m going to start a new thread. It's title will be "Is there anyone here who cares if MPRPRO apologized or not?". Maybe it will be as popular as this one... :P

"fart smeller" (I'll have to remember that one :P).

Like this pic and

This?

They look like they used the same background and they both use grapes.
Could it be the same person?

Fixed your thumbs for ya... ;)

BTW...that was a special challenge where EVERYONE had to use grapes and a blue background...and a duck...and water. :)

She seems to favor horses, but I'm sure any other animal would turn out just as well. :-)

Side focused composition. Soft focus. Styled with a warm sheen to it. Strong photoshop'd polished look. Flower in hand as added element...model has a focused interest.

Strong contrasting color elements. Strongly centered composition. Dance/ballerina feel. Bleak background. Porcelain doll type feel. Model has blank unfocused thoughtful but almost sad appearance.

To me, these two photos, are 100% different photos with a little girl being the only commonality.

Whether there is a user with multiple identities, is a totally different issue aside. But you know what....it is not really possible from these two photos to determine that the girls picture are one and the same.... You're basis for such claims is that they both have similar hair coloring and are of approx. the same age. Well guess what, I can find children who look similar to that in Connecticut - who are neither of those two girls.

Frankly, I find your whole post utterly moronic. The differences between the first two photos are so utterly apparent - if you had even a glimmer of photographic understanding you'd recognize it.

Frankly, MPRPRO, I think it's time you sold you packed up your gear, sold your E-1 and give up photography. If you cannot see the difference between those two photos. Should ever photo of a little girl be "eliminated" because well it's been done before. Guess what....very few shots on DPC have not had a similar shot done by someone else.

So let me guess...you submitted a photo...it didn't do as well as you thought. And now you're jaded so you just have to rant and attack others. *blah* on you!

:P

You're a prick....

You have the balls to say that you did magic part time and didn't appreciate others copying your trade. There isn't a magic trick you performed that was not based on or derived or copied from someone else. Or at the least done by someone before.

Even the best magicians are working off of the foundations laid by others. To deny such and attack a vehemently as you are....well...my only hope is you have a change of heart or you leave.

You made a misinformed, uneducated and insulting post. This forum is for "rants"...but to tear someone down without cause and without insight on mere assumption. And that, of such a level that a novice photographer like me can pinpoint in a moment's time numerous distinguishing characteristics and styles and composition and post-processing.

I am left wondering if you should hang your camera next to your magic hat!
