i was wondering if anyone had any examples of a tilt shift picture.. to show the difference between that and a normal lens.. im trying to explain it to a friend but hes not getting it.. i think an example would help that (hes not much of a photo buff) but hes looking into getting into it and he was asking what it was...

This is an interesting product, but for the purpose here is the sample pics of what a PC or TS (perspective correction or tilt-shift) lens can do

And for what it's worth, Photoshop's CS2 has the correction software.
Filters, Distort, Lens Corection. Very verstatile/adjustable.

Edit to add, the above were not PS manipulations, or at least I don't think they are, as they are from a site that has these lenses.

No before and after correcdtions here but these are some images of mine. Brad's is the best example it seems but I think it's through CS2. This is conventional using my TS lens.

Here's a good site with examples...

And another explanation from The Luminous-landscape.com

Here is also a nice example of the creative advantages a tilt-shift lens may offer in terms of depth-of-field.

Other examples may also be found on that site in the review section for each of the tilt-shift lenses.
