I found my statistically favorite photographers who have greater than or equal to 10 votes. I chose ten because it stood out easily in my list, others would probably want to choose a cutoff number appropriate to themselves and how the data in their stat-fave list was distributed.

Photographer-Score-Votes
=====================
CalliopeKel-6.9167-12
mandyturner-6.6000-10
goodman-6.5000-10
roadrunner-6.2308-13
idnic-6.2000-15

These are my "Consistently Exceptional Photographers" from the challenges. Just something interesting I thought I'd share.

Also interesting is that they are all women.

I wonder if I'm too in touch with my feminine side. Anyone want to talk about sports?

=== Note:
Statistically favorite overall can be found in this thread

Edit to say yes, I graphed my data to find my cutoff. I need help.

Edit two - What I did:

I went to my statistically favorite photographers. I copy and pasted the data into excel. I made a bar graph of number of votes and score. Instead of computing correlation coefficients I visually inspected the graph to find a good cut-off point. In my case it was easy to see the people who had the most votes and to break the data into two groups: high scores with high number of votes, high scores with low number of votes. The list is the top five of the high score with high number of votes.

Way number two (which might be more meaningful):

Another way to do this would be to take the list, put it into excel, divide the number of votes by avg vote.

CEP = (votes/avg)

CEP calculated list becomes:

idnic 2.419354839
roadrunner 2.08640945
lnede 1.805972845
CalliopeKel 1.734931398
goodman 1.538461538
mandyturner 1.515151515

lnede comes into play doing it this way.

This is more fun than baseball stats

My Favorites (menu on top) -> Manage Your Favorites (Menu on left side) -> view your statistically favorite photographers (menu on left)

This is for my voting on challenges so whatever you're doing Kelly it connects well with polacks in Michigan :)

Hmmm, you also have the honor of recieving most votes from me (15) so your market flooding strategy does work!

And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to make graphs like that - whew!

What strange methodology. So your voting my entries high before you know they are 'my' entries.

I didnt do so well in the 'celebration' challenge, I wonder how you marked me on that one.

I still dont understand how these names appear in your list. Are they the photographers that had entries that you scored the highest consecutively in challenges? Or photos added to their favorites lists?

Yep, I'm voting high on your entries without knowing they're yours. I pm-ed you a semi-in-depth on the celebrations photo.

I chose 10 because it made sense for the number of challenges I've voted in, your "significant number" may be higher or lower. If you really want to geek out you can graph your data and have a good ol' time :) Yes, I need help.

The top of my list has people with 3 or 4 votes, which is very good. But I thought it would be interesting to find those people who, time in and time out, I consistently gave a high score to.

WOW thanks! But you are too kind...most of my entries are rushed and not thought out. I do better when I am not under the pressure of having an update button to push.
