I was wondering what people thought about doing a sports challenge. This would not just have to be people playing sports, but there are MANY aspects to it. And for those who don't like to leave their houses, find some interesting way to light up a baseball or something! I think this could really get our creative juices flowing, and provide for some very interesting interpretations for the subject! It's just a suggestion though... any comments? Thanks!

Only if you hold off till April/May. It was my love of motorsport that made me buy a digicam in the first place!

yes but what if many of the voters may be of the opinion that racing, much like golf, is not really a sport... then your score will crash and burn so to speak... :oP

Maybe you could make it games or competition - to include a little more than just sports. I'm not big on sports - couldn't even find a baseball to light up.

I think the cool thing about sports is it doesn't have to be directly a sport that you photograph, or even the ball that you play the sports with. For those of you who enjoy candids, you could catch a friend or family member enigmatically watching a football game on tv for instance. Or you could get a friend to dress up as one of those wacky sports fans you see on tv, and make it a portrait. There are a lot of things you could do. I think it would be the emotion the picture invoked that would give you a great picture.

Another Idea, instead of calling it sports, is HUMANS IN ACTION! This could be a fun one to play with movement, stop action, and blurring... but with the human aspect, which makes it pretty interesting... just some ideas out of the head of a sports photographer who gets few comments on other sites because no one knows what to say. Also this would be an awesome chance for people like me who are into sports photography, to help other people improve in this area, which is an excellent skill to have! Please let me know what you think!
