I have a 3 year old that likes to act like she is taking pictures and when I have my camera out, she wants to take pictures. I let her and she knows how to push the shutter button and really enjoys seeing what she took a picture of after the shot.

I am looking for a cheap kids camera with photo preview. Does anyone know of anything like this. I am really interested in something that is under $40USD.

Thanks for any responses!

I've found the best source for cameras like this to be discount computer shops. The small ugly ones in the middle of industrial areas. They'll often have a shipment of older cameras around. The last one I visited had a bunch of 2mp panasonics for $32Cdn each.

By the way, I was joking, don't buy that, you'll regret it forever.

I just gave my daughter (she's 5) an old canon S200 she loves it.. and it's actually got a metal skin.. seems to take bumps better than some I've seen.

What about one of the low end Kodaks? They are pretty easy to use for kids!

Kodak C300 is right under $100. Little more then your price point but has a lcd. Most cheaper cameras don't have screens. Kids like chimping so it might be a good choice.

I been spotting the older canon Ixy 2.0MP cameras at junk shops and they are so cheap now 5000JPY approx $50 for a very good camera. My 3 year old has got the bug and Im getting her one of those for Xmas.

Just hope the MACRO setting meets her approval.
