How important will the titles be for the upcoming challenge? How often do you see a pic in the newspaper that needs the title before you know what the shot is about? Will this be the week of the "Titles Make It or Breaks It Challenge"?
When I began submitting images several months ago, I thought titles should do little in determining the quality of an image but after months of participating and observing the phenomenon of "Title Bashing", it appears a good title goes a long way in helping viewers appreciate images.

| I would imagine there being a lot of newspaper headline style titles at any rate. |

If the photograph isn't to par....there ain't a single title that can salvage it. I am looking at photos first...titles later.

| I'll have to think of a good title for my shot. I wish that we could see the details this week to explain a little more. |

| Of Course!. But for this challenge a clever title should add bonus points since that's a prime characteristic of photojournalism. |

| I am not worried about the title so much as I am a great picture. I will vote high on just about anything if it is in focus and I can see the subject well. That means the photo not being so busy that I can't tell what he/she is trying to show us. Title will come last. I would be bummed if there is a really good picture and no title. Not sure if I would mark them down for that considering it is a photo challenge and not a photo-title challenge. |

I dont know, I think title is going to be important, looking at some pics its hard to tell there relavence without the title...
