hey, just wondered what your stuff was like... I'mean your computerstuff...

I guess none can say that the computer isn't big part of digital photography...

so... what is your computer like?

mine is a 1200mhz AMD ahtalon with 1,3gb in SDRAM... - i bought it on 9-11-01
I've got a flat (trinitron like) ArtMedia monitor, and when i'm in some big projects I use an extra monitor... - so I have multy funkysomething.

I just wanted to know something about your's ;)

Showoff ;)

Mine pales in comparison to yours. I have a Compaq notebook, 750 MHz, PIII, 192 MB RAM (don't know what kind), 14 pt something inch LCD screen set to a screen resolution of 1024x768, DVD/CD player included. I bought it June 2001. We have a desktop at home but it's not as current as my notebook.

I have an old IBM-PC at home with nothing to brag about.

I have a Gateway. The only thing I know is it's got a DVD player, CDRW, and a flat screen that turns funny colors when you push on it. I have never had any problems at all with this computer, so I guess it's a good one.

Pentium Pro-200 MHz... How's that for showing it's age. 128MB ram, 15 inch monitor (old non-flat CRT).

It's 7 years old now so I'm getting VERY close to upgrading. 128MB is absolutely painful when working with Photoshop and the clock speed is pretty woeful as well. My PC at work is much better (dual 19" flat screen Sony's, etc) but I don't do any photo work on it - only voting.

1.024 GB RAM, 1 Ghz processor, Superdrive, 802.11g wireless, Bluetooth 17" PowerBook laptop.

And 1 Ghz does not equal 1 Ghz.

LOL ayme!! you sound like the commercial! are you getting a cut? LOL

mine is a Sony
2.3GHz processor, 120GB harddrive (partitioned into two.. 20/100)
DVD/CD-R/RW burner, CD-R drive, memory stick slot, 6 USB ports, audio/visual ports, iLink ports (2), gigapocket with remote control, 512 MB RAM, came with enough software to run your own media business :P, and I run it with a ViewSonic UltraBrite 19" flat screen CRT. Sounds terribly like an IPAQ - Must be great to edit photo's in! I doubt that Photoshop would install but please tell me you've tried at least!

Gateway Destination sytem 5 years old
400 mhz Pentium 2
384 mb ram
13 ghz hard drive (I burn lots of CD's!)
36" monitor 800x600 (not a TV)
wireless monitor with wireless handheld mouse
regular wired optical mouse
Wacom pen tablet
DVD Drive
CD burner
This sytem doubles as my television. I have an ATI All-in-Wonder video card with a TV tuner. The computer has audio outputs and is hooked up to my stereo reciever for complete surround sound. A separate DVD player is also hooked up to the computer for an excellent picture. It is not a fast system by todays standards but it still works very well. The screen resolution is fine since I view it sitting in my recliner. I don't plan on making anymore changes to it because it works so well as an entertainment system. Instead my next computer will be a speedy notebook computer with an SXGA resolution screen which I plan on buying very soon. It will probably become my main workstation.

Holy cow! How much did you paid for that monitor 5 years ago? Did they ever built something so large?
