Personification occurs when inanimate objects are endowed with human qualities or represented as possessing human form or personality.

..huh?
Can someone simplify this for me please?

It's not just if an inanimate object looks human, it's also if they "act" human... so for instance if you see two cars that are bumper to bumper and say they are "kissing" that would also be personification.
