Not in any challenges... just haven't had enough time to really think out and shoot for some. I'm in a bit of comment deprivation right now so any feedback on this shot from Sunday would be great.

It's beautiful, it has great colors! I like the way the focus is sharp on the eye of the butterfly. And though it's not a traditional crop, the attention is drawn straight to the eye. Nice job!

Left a comment.

So this butterfly walks into the doctor's office and says, "Help me, Doc, I'm seeing spots..."

...sorry I don't have a punch line - this was all that popped into my head when I saw the pic. :)

Nice work!

Sorry but,

I dont like how it's blurry for some parts and clear for the head.
I might be the only person who thinks that and im sorry if it's hard to capture like that.

Good pic though

This is crossing over to the dark side for some people, but what would you think about cloning out the blur of the butterfly's right antenna and creating your own in focus? (you could use the blurred one as a guide). I find that antenna very distracting.

Yeah that does look good --- I am pretty useless with that type of stuff however...

i shoot butterflys a few days a week while on lunch break. I love the way that a macro lens captures just a slice of it and then loses everything else. Something magical about it, catching a moment of a strange fluttering creature. Leave perfectly focused bugs for science magazines is what i say.
