im interested in seeing who is going with a geographic representation or a personal one. What do you think is staying within the box here?

Hmmmm That's hard to say. I've been driving all over town this week taking shots of the capitol, the governor's mansion, and other landmarks and of course they bring this on the next day! AUGHHHHHHHH

Man, I really wish I was in Cannon Beach for this.

I won't do another CN Tower! It's way overdone by me.

I wonder if they mean my corner, or a corner of my world??? And does it have to be a corner?
Would it be ok to be a corner of like, just my neighborhood, or does it have to be the whole world? Would it be ok to be my corner of the galaxy, or is that too much???

;-P

just for ref:
original "Your Corner of the World" challenge.
I think I'm going for some landmark photo, but since I know there will be a bunch of them I not so sure anymore

Oh dear! I really thought the SC council had cracked it this time with no room for misunderstanding or need for discussion on a challenge brief!

Some people have more corners than others!

i now it doesn't state in the challenges indication something about people but can the corner of the world be a person to you. or am i getting the wrong ideia?

I think that's a perfectly good interpretation. Any concept of course needs to be well executed to be well received, and there will always be people that disagree...

Why? Gives you a chance to break-out and try something new!

It's gonna be interesting to see if certain landmarks get multiple entries. I know there are a number of Oregon members and wonder what they are going to do...

I've actually already entered mine (not gonna have as much time later this week).

Bleh.. yeah I have no idea what to do for this one..

Not sure I want to go for something that Oregon is "known" for such as Haystack Rock. Hrm, I'll have to think about this a bit later.

I grew up in Mississippi and live in Alabama. I'm going to take a photo of a real life redneck family.

I'm sure I'll probably shoot somewhere in-between (and my score will reflect the same - LOL). :-)

Not sure what I'll do either (and no plans to drive to Cannon Beach!) but it seems like an *almost* Free Study, so hopefully I'll have some good shot this week that's suitable.

What *I* think they want is YOUR interpretation of YOUR little corner of the world. Whether that be your fav. person, place, thing, street corner, oceanview, ratty old work shoes - whatever. But something that represents where you're from. Wheat field/pile of corn/snow scene/mountains/Brooklyn Bridge/porch swing... get it?

I'm rather excited about it. Have no idea what MY subject is going to be - but am excited none-the-less. :D

Wouldn't you know. I'm going to be away from my backyard most of this week.
But I found something and entered.
I just hope it doesn't result in another 4-ish score.

Noggin - my interpretation is the same as yours. In fact "my little corner of the world" could very well have me in it, or my family, OR a part of my house or town. I think it's broader than people think at first. It will be interesting to see people's interpretion. Heh, take your entire family to a landmark that has a corner. Then you have it ALL :~p

If I shoot my corner of the world, no one will get it (aside a few like Alionic and Pug).

Any advice?
