Yes, this is available in Elements 3.0.
A big difference between Elements 3.0 and the full Photoshop are the lack of adjustment curves.

I need this tutorial bad! Thanks. I have Elements 3.0 and the layers process does not seem intuitive, so I need help with that. Seems like it should be easier to manage. Also interested in the other enhancements discussed here already. In Elements 3.0, I can't seem to find "smoothing" and "curves" and other terminology I have seen discussed on this site. Is Photoshop 9.0 worth the money? I look forward to learning a lot from you talented folks! |

I think maybe curves are too advanced for a basics group.
In Elements 3.0 within adjustment layers you have "sliders" to make changes; in regular Photoshop you have "curves" to make changes.
