Does anyone know a website through which I can purchase a replacement battery door? I dropped my Rebel last weekend and destroyed a 50mm 1.8 (yikes, that lens is cheaply made) and broke the battery door.

Buy the grip and you no longer need the door.

Yeah, that was my first thought. But, if I ever want to be more compact and go without a grip, I need the door. Not to mention if I ever want to upgrade it would make sense to have a battery door to try and sell it.

Thanks Corwyn. I just called Canon Usa (1-800-828-4040) and ordered the part directly from them for $13 shipped. Weird that I couldn't find that item on Ebay. I looked there, partstore.com, b&h, adorama, and several others.

Yeah. I was actually quite impressed. I had their parts department on the line in less than 2 minutes and the part ordered no more than 5 minutes later. Very friendly service reps as well.
