I'm trying to help a friend of mine decide on a new camera, and I haven't been in the market for anything like what she needs for a long time, so I'm hoping y'all can help out.

Primary requirements:
1) Point & Shoot
2) Panorama mode in camera
3) Image stabilization
4) $400 - $500 range.

The Panasonic DMC FZ20 comes close, but no panorama mode. Anybody have other suggestions?

^ Couldn't you just use a photo stitch program for the panoramic shots?

I suggested that, but she's used to having the option in-camera, and isn't a computer person.

Are you sure that has a panorama mode? I can't find any mention of it on dpreview or Canon's website.

A good site to compare cameras side by side with all their specs is
dpreview.com
Thats what I used before I bought my camera.

It has "stitch assist" mode. I don't know how panorama mode works on other cameras but this shows you the photo you just took next to the preview screen of the photo you're about to take so that you can line them up. You'd still have to stitch them on the computer but it isn't very hard.
