Tips from the pros... I have only tinkered with it for awhile. I am using Adobe, using the magic wand to select parts and then removing the color or replacing the color, is this the "waY"?

You could (if you have a bit of time on your hands) use the pen tool and create a clipping path around the bee, then you could use that to select the bee or background (cntr+I select inverse). It would give you more control over the scene, and you could change thing more easily.

no, there is a pen tool . . . keboard short cut is "p"

It may be more trouble than it's worth, it does take a few trys to get the hang of it, try the color range function (under select)

If you mess with the "tolerance" you'll see really dramatic changes in the selected area.

You can also:

-make it black/white and use the history brush to restore the color or
-use the regular brush in color mode and paint over the elements you want in black/white.
