I just found the current challenge photos. I see dozens of photos on several pages. Lots of pictures. What do you all do. View each photo, comment and rate each one? Just pick a few to rate? I don't think I will post until I have seen a few of the challenges go by and I get the feel for how it all works.

Hi Paul and welcome.
On the Home page there are essentially three parts. At the top are the winners of the previous challenges (usually two challenges shown).
below that, on the right side, are the challenges, usually two, that are currently being voted and commented on.
On the left are the current challenges for submission.
At the bottom a selection of the latest posts from forums.
That, in short, is how to start. Enjoy!

Hey there. Welcome to DPC. Hang out, view the photos. Make all the comments you want. The more the merrier. :) Some people leave really short comments on all the photos, and some leave longer more detailed critiques on fewer of the photos. There is no "rule" on how to score the shots.
There are quite a few council members (marked by little purple icons with sunglasses) and the little yellow icons that pop up every now and then are the site owners. If you can't find info you are looking for, and you don't want to post your Q in the forums, we're always around to help.
My first suggestion is to read the Challenge rules and ask ANY questions you want before submitting. It's always sad to see someone get a silly DQ for overlooking something really simple.
Mostly though...HAVE FUN. That's why were're here. Learning something new is just a bonus.

| Hi melor, as another *relatively* newcomer I can tell you it is a great place to play and can become quite addictive. The people are for the most part friendly and helpful. So come in and enjoy! |
