Cz it was just a job for the money! Not that I don't need money anymore, but I just couldn't take it anymore.
If I asked to leave, then I'd end up with almost nothing in my pocket, but as they did the "job" for me, they'll have to pay me a good sum of money! So that's a good combo! I no longer need to go to the place I hated been at, and I get some dough!
I'd rather have a hard time doing what I like and want, than been just some1 else working at sumthing you don't like to do, just for the bucks! And that wasn't much to tell you the truth!

Well, it worked out just the way I wanted!

I live at Curitiba, the capital of Paraná!
The state right "under" São Paulo, it's like a 6 hour drive from there!

HAHAHA, the jacket wouldn't let ppl see it (the shirt was a bit transparent though), but then, my boss liked it!

I'm so thrilled. I feel like a child with a new toy!

My 'nada' would be something like a 2 months payment, but now it's something like 7 months money, +-!

Most of it will go for college, as I still have one year to finish.
And then, some equipment a well.

my question is *what did you do to get fired*

(my favourite story so far was an old roomie of my got on the loud speaker in the supermarket and announced outragious special ~ that the store had to honor because once its advertised... ~ and then at the end he said "and Tom won't be coming back to work tommorow because if this didn't get him fired, he quits!")

Congrats (I think) for having things go your way.
All kinds of sayings, about doors closing, windows opening, clouds with silver linings - phooey on 'em - have fun.

Wow - if it feels that good, maybe I should fire myself!

I know the feeling. I got to quit my job a few months' back and I felt like I had 2000 pounds taken off of me. NOw I just spend all day on the update button. ROFL

Congrats, man.

So basically you preferred to be fired so you could get the money upon leaving. If you quit or resigned you would not of got the money?
I don't know how long you have been waiting to get fired but during that time wasn't you doing what you didn't want to do in your statement above. I'd rather have a hard time doing what I like and want, than been just some1 else working at something you don't like to do, just for the bucks!

I point that out because is the money you will be receiving worth a spotted employment record. I don't know how things work there but here, when you get fired it goes against most peoples employment record. Which in the long run could cost you more money.

With that said, I wish you the best. I can understand how hard it is working at a place that you don't like just for the money. Sometimes we have to and sometimes we can afford to walk a way. Best of luck.

Way To Go scuds! I envy you.

The last time I got fired I celebrated by disassembling my alarm clock with a baseball bat.

Spend your newfound money wisely and enjoy your freedom.

Well, it does work this way here as well, BUT, then this is a "two-way street". Getting fired for doing something the company "feels" wrong, or just for the fact that they don't "want" you anymore. I had a little chat with my boss, like 2 months ago, saying that I wasn't happy working for the company anymore, that I wasn't doing 10% of what I was able to do, blah blah blah. All that sort of stuff. Then, she came out with this solution, letting me go, for no reason at all. She just told the HR dept. that she wasn't happy with my services anymore, and she wanted somebody else for my position. They wanted to relocate me, but I had passed through that a couple of months earlier. So their best "choice" was to fire me. And that did suit my needs, LoL.
Regarding the RECORDS, it ain't gonna do anything to me, cz I was fired without any given reason, as stated on my "records". I was aware that if I screwed up, I'd give them the reason to fire me, not pay me a dime, and permanently f*ck up my "record".
Took me 2 months, but then, HEY, it didn't feel that long, LoL!!!!
