Very difficult to decide which to submit, and still not sure whether I should have submitted this (which I think perhaps I perhaps should), or this.

I preferred 'Forked'. Although the splash ones are fine stop motion shots, they're quite dark, and don't really do all that much for me. All personal preference, of course :) |

Ooh, forked for sure. The 'ripples' of light remind me of vipermike's glass entry (which you should take as one helluva complement).

Yeah - thought so :-)
But hey - at least I spelled 'splash' correctly this time.

Not so fast. I like the shot you entered better than forked. It's an excellent capture and composed differently than the typical splash photo. The other is fine technically, but it's just a fork, not of much interest, and the stain on the plate is distracting as well.

Definitely forked, of those two; the splash *looks* like it might be a color shot (though I don't doubt it's just a blue duotone). Also, Forked is more dramatic. I do like the asymmetric splash, though.

forked is great. I do like that splash one though. The framing and little specks is different than the one that you entered. |

I like the splash one myself. This was my other choice for entry, but I liked the red one better. :)

Other way round actually - 'forked' is a full colour un-adjusted shot - splash (and the one I entered) are both B&W conversions: and both loobetter in colour (largely due to the tones of the coins and the grey bowl the water was in.

Thanks for all comments - very helpful
