There are a lot of really cool old mills and things in the area that look great during fall. So come out.

This sounds good. Got two questions:
Are there people (besides us) in funky clothes? (I have a thing for hats and shoes :))
How far would we be from Philly?

New Hope? As in the Manheim area? Is it near Mount Hope? I go to the PA Ren Faire there every weekend. Maybe able to make this trip, if hubby(Travis99) isn't busy. Let me know if I'm thinking of the right area. Or

I think Manheim is in Lancasater County? New Hope is in Bucks...right across the Delaware River from Trenton (again, I think?) NJ. Hope that helps....it's a bit of a haul but do-able if you get an early enough start. The more the merrier! Hope you and your hubby can come!

Yes, right across from Trenton.

I will be traveling on the 15th and unable to attend. This is about 10 minutes from my home and I am very bummed that I'll miss it :(

It's the best time of year to make the trip if any of you are thinking about doing it. It truely doesn't get any better than this. A quick "fun fact" for Amazing Race fans. The family series that's about to air had an episode filmed at Washington's Crossing. I got a chance to see them filming a reenactment of George being rowed across the Deleware River.

New Hope is roughly 30 minutes north of Philadelphia.
When we arrive at Washingtons Crossing, chances of seeing people dressed in the colonial fashion are good to great.

I am going to try and setup a map with different possible areas of interest.

we plan them for saturdays because most of us are off that day and sunday, so it gives everyone a chance to stay out longer to mingle. Perhaps tell your clients they should have their weddings during the week ;)

Do you have a plan in mind? Like where we'll meet and where we'll go. I want to check the map to estimate driving distance, fuel cost, number of audio CDs to bring for the drive, etc.

Just consider that some people may have to travel some time to get there. I'll be coming from NYC. If there is a meeting place for late arrival that would be great.

Ok folks, here it is!

Our meeting place will be the New Hope Ivyland railroad station located at...

New Hope & Ivyland Railroad
32 West Bridge Street, New Hope, PA
Phone: 215-862-2332

Out meetup time will be between 8-8:30am. Once 8:30 rolls around, we will be rolling out. There is ample metered parking, $5 will cover enough time for our time in New Hope before we leave for Washingtons Crossing.

I'm not really sure where we can have a "late" meetup point, since we'll be walking around and basically winging it. So if you think you can't make the startup time, please send me a PM and Ill give you my cell phone number.
