Over the weekend I landed two more weddings slated for this fall. *woohoo yippee and all that*

One of the couples should be easy, but the other will be a bit of a challenge. I'm going to need some assistance in creatively thinking of how to shoot the bride and groom and I'm hoping to get a few suggestions. I've met the couple a few times and they appear to be great people. The trouble is that the groom is 5'6" and about 280lbs. The bride is 5'11" and 320lbs.

I'm not trying to sound mean or anything; I'm just having trouble thinking of the best way to portray them so 1) they'll be happy with the results (the most important thing, of course) and 2) I'm happy with what I can provide them.

Does anybody have any suggestions on poses, lighting, etc?

One thing that quickly came to mind is NOT to shoot "down" on them. My husband, who is 6' 4", helped me with a wedding of two fairly large people, and was pretty much towering over the couple, and a couple of the shots made them look like hobbits.

Looked all over for an exammple to post, but can't find it, we may have trashed it. If I can find it, I'll post it.

Shoot a lot of tight, expressive bride and groom or bride/groom interactions with other loved ones, concentrating on face shots, eg. smiling to one another, kissing, laughing together, wistful glances to Dad or Mom. Avoid body shots when a nice, intimate closeup will tell the story better; and in much more flattering tones. Remember that eyes, hands and silouhettes alone can speak volumes.
